William "Wullie" Spiers, 85, of Chester died on November 23, 2023 at his home.  Born in Clydebank, Scotland, the son of the late Sarah and Charles Spiers, he moved to the United States and had been a resident of Chester since 1968.

Wullie was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church.  He was employed at Westinghouse, Sun Ship Building and Dryock and was then a Sheet Metal Fabricator at Boeing until his retirement. Wullie was an avid fan of the Glasgow Celtic F.C. as well as all of the Philadelphia sports teams.  He enjoyed taking long walks and entertaining family and friends on the deck at his pool.  The most important piece of his life was his loving family. He loved taking his grandchildren to Tom Jones and McDonalds, traveling the world with his daughters, and spending his entire life with his loving wife. He will be greatly missed, but we will always know that whenever we feel lonely that Pop Pop taught us "You'll Never Walk Alone".

He was the loving husband of Beatrice Toye Spiers, devoted father of Mary Brysiak (Leon), Jacqueline Kounnas and the late Joseph "Speet" Spiers and Paula Spiers, brother of Sarah Herbert, Thomas Spiers and the late Anne McLafferty, he is also survived by grandchildren Anthony, Kevin (Megan), Ashley (Brian), Amber (Ryan), Joey (Alyssa), Paige, and Tara and great-grandchildren Aidan, Dylan, Bradley, Melody, Parker, Shane, Caleb, Tenley, Emma, And Hazen.

Funeral Liturgy 12 noon Friday, December 1, 2023 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 11 AM.  Burial SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
