William J. "Slim" Tancredi, 84 of Woodlyn, died January 27, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Born and reared in Chester, he has lived at his late residence for the past 60 years.
Slim was last employed as an appliance salesman at Sears. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church R.C. Church and the Sports Club. Slim enjoyed gardening, Philadelphia Sports, casino trips, the Jersey Shore, but most important to him was his devotion to his faith, his family and his dog Penny.
He was son of the late John and Joanne Luppenetti Tancredi and brother of the late Ann Getty.
Survivors; his beloved wife of 60 years, Polly Mc Guigon Tancredi, his sons; William Tancredi (Karen), Joe Tancredi (Debbie) and Michael Tancredi (Marcy), his brother John Tancredi and sister Helen Fritz, also "Poppi" to Billy, Grace, Tess, Melissa, Kelly, Colin, Ashley, Nick and Victoria Tancredi and great-granddaughter Nora.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park.
Visitation: Tuesday 6 to 9PM and Wednesday 8:15 to 9:15AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park. Burial will be in Eastlawn
