William V. Seitz 78 of Ridley Park, died December 10, 2015 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Folcroft before moving to his late residence in 1974. Bill was a Signal Maintainer at Amtrak. He was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Sharon Hill High School, class of 1956.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving from July 30, 1956 until August 15, 1958. Bill was easy going, liked people and enjoyed stamp collection, card tricks and cooking, but most important to him was his family.
Bill was an optimistic, practical, thinking man who found great joy in life. He persevered in his daily battles with MS and he will greatly missed by all who knew him and his larger than life personality.
He was predeceased by his wife, Susan Ryan Seitz and their infant daughter who died in 1964. He was son of the late Edward and Helen Headley Seitz and brother of the late Dorothy Hanson and Edward Seitz, Jr.
Bill his survived by his wife, Veronica A. Mallamas Seitz, whom he married in 1970; his children, Jeanette Jenkins (Tom), Carla Welsh (Brian) and William A. Seitz; his brother Robert Seitz and three grandchildren.
