William G. Savage, 82 of Aston, died March 20, 2012 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Born in Tower City, PA he has lived in Aston for the past 52 years.
Mr. Savage was a draftsman at Westinghouse Corporation for 33 years, until his retirement.
He was a member of The Church of St. Joseph and was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1948.
Mr. Savage played professional baseball with the Cardinals, Pirates and the Washington Senators and was inducted into both the Aston and Delaware County Hall of Fame. He was also and avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Survivors: his wife of 57 years; Doris White Savage, his children; William G. Savage, Jr., Linda Savage Johnson (Eric) and Christopher Savage (Pam), his siblings; Mary Daley, Francis Savage and Pat Muffley, and also seven grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 11:00AM Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston.
Visitation: 10:00 to 10:45AM
