Dr. William Roger Nelson, 73, of Logan Twp., NJ died November 12, 2018 at his home. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he moved to his late residence in 1979.

Dr. Nelson was a graduate of St. Joseph University and earned his Doctorate at NOVA Southeastern University. He retired as a teacher and Vice Principal at Arthur P. Schalick High School. Dr. Nelson was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and loved his dog, Rockey, but most important were his family and friends.

Dr. Nelson was predeceased by his longtime partner, Blaise A. McLoughlin, who died October 21, 2008.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Faison (Robert); many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews; also, his extended family, Maryann McLoughlin-O'Donnell (Michael), Megan R. McLoughlin, Deirdre I. McLoughlin, Christopher J. McLoughlin (Marie); seven nieces and nephews; and eight grand nieces and nephews
