William J. Galbraith Sr., 91, a lifelong resident of Village Green/Aston, PA, died peacefully March 28 at his home.  Bill was the husband of the late Nora (nee Rudolf) for 65 years.  He was the oldest son of immigrant parents the late Mary (nee Hagerty) and James Galbraith, of Donegal, Ireland.

A 1950 graduate of St. James High School in Chester, he had a long, successful career in the IBEW LU #98 which included two years in Saudi Arabia installing lighting systems at airports, and at Breckenridge Ski School in Colorado.  Bill also enjoyed skiing on the Pocono Mountains and in Vermont, he also traveled to Europe on ski trips and was the President of the Aston Ski Club.

He is survived by his six children William Jr. (Lynn), Steven (Debra), Alice Ramos, Trish Kelly-Canuso (Joe), Susan Armbruster (Peter) and Eileen Galbraith-Vecere (John); 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three sisters, Betty Sweigert (Don), Mary Dion and Rita Pennypacker (George).   He was the grandfather of the late Steven Galbraith and brother of the late Nancy Gargano and James Galbraith.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 where relatives and friends may call after 10:30 AM.
