William J. "Fid" Fidorowicz, Jr., 66 of Chadds Ford, died June 18, 2012 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Born in Chester, Mr. Fidorowicz lived in Ridley Park prior to moving to his most recent residence in 1973.

His career in engineering began at Belmont Iron Works in 1965 and continued until he retired from a 33 year career with Bechtel Corporation.

He was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, Class of 1965. Fid loved spending time in Florida and shelling on the beach, but most important was being with his family and friends.

"Fid" enjoyed music his entire life and played with various rock and roll bands as a professional musician during the 60's and early 70's.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1968, including tours in Germany and Africa.

He was the son of the late Bill and Tillie DiNicola Fidorowicz.

Survivors: beloved husband of Joyce M. Gobe Fidorowicz, loving father of Brooke D. Fidorowicz, brother of Dennis Fidorowicz, nephew of Arlene DiNicola, uncle of Nicole and Anthony Fidorowicz and also survived by his beloved dog "Billy"

Funeral Liturgy: 11 AM Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
Visitation: 9:30 to 11 AM at the funeral home.

Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
