Obituary

William J. Farren 69 of Philadelphia, died on May 7, 2023.

Bill was born in Norfolk, VA and has lived at his late residence since 2007.

He was a Behavioral Health Counselor for Livingrin in Bensalem for 10 years and previously worked at Northeast Treatment Center and a self-employed house painter.

Bill was a graduate of Father Judge High School, class of 1971, Philadelphia Community College with an Associate Degree in Behavioral Health and the American School of Broadcasting.

He attended The Church of St. Madeline.

Bill loved sports, especially the Eagles, Phillies and tennis; loved Brigantine, NJ and being on the beach. An avid artist, he had an eye for design, enjoying drawing and painting. He also had a great love of music; served as an intern at WMMR radio, became a DJ working weddings and parties.

He was predeceased by his parents, William M. and Marlene Walters Farren and his sister Patricia "Patty" Farren.

Bill is survived by his longtime friend and caregiver, Toni Cox and her daughter Karli Bresler; his brother John Farren (Nancy); aunt Lorraine Walters Latzko, uncle James (Christine Kenty) Walters; cousins John and Alicia Latzko Ervin; nephew Andrew Ervin; niece Maria Ervin and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 11:00AM Friday, May 19, 2023 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial Private.
