Obituary
William J. Emanuel, 84 of Gradyville, died on June 20, 2013 at Taylor Hospice Residence.
Born in Ridley Park, he lived in Elwyn before moving to his late residence 2 ½ years ago.
Mr. Emanuel was an Executive Vice President at Medford Meats for 50 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during WWII and also a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He graduated from The Infantry School after completing The Jumpmaster Course and completed 25 parachute jumps.
He loved his Harley and enjoyed riding with his friends and also enjoyed reading, especially about history.
Mr. Emanuel was husband of the late Mary T. Lukes Emanuel, son of the late Charles and Margaret Missimer Emanuel and brother of the late Charles "Bud" Emanuel.
Survivors: his children Jeffrey Emanuel (Alyson) of Raleigh, NC, Cynthia Bregande (Michael) of Gradyville and Mark Emanuel (Evelyn) of Downingtown ; also seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral service and burial private.
