William "Bill" J. Corr, 71 of Essington, died on August 23, 2013 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Prospect Park before moving to his late residence 3 ½ years ago.
Bill was a self-employed owner operator of a trucking company. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church where he served as a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of AmVets and was a Friend of Bill. Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a devoted father and was also surrounded by his many caring friends.
He was son of the late Francis and Catherine Dougherty Corr and brother of the late Frank, Alice and Marian.
Survivors: his beloved wife Betty; his children William "Bill" J. Corr, Jr. and Kathleen "Kate" Corr; stepdaughter Melissa Monahan (Jack); grandchildren Eugene Chakejian and Samantha Monahan and his siblings John, Barbara and James.

Visitation Thursday 6:30 to 8:30PM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and Friday 9:00 to 9:30AM at the church. Burial private. Memorial gifts to the above church.
