Obituary

William T. Clark, 92 of Ridley Park, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2013 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital.

Born in Wilmington, DE he was son of the late Veasey C. and Mildred (Lovell) Clark.

He graduated from Ridley Park High School, Class of 1938, where he was a member of the National Honor Society.

In 1942, he graduated from Penn State College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as a Professional Engineer licensed in four states and the District of Columbia. He was a Project Manager responsible for design and implementation of Incinerators and Power Plants, as well as other projects.

He retired from Day & Zimmerman in 1986. He also served in the U.S. Maritime Service.

Some of his many interests included tracing his family history, electronics, Amateur Radio, photography, pipe organ maintenance and construction, and tinkering with clocks. He was a member of SAE, ASME, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, several Amateur Radio Clubs, and the Dickinson Theatre Organ Society where he helped with the rebuilding of the Pipe Organ in Dickinson High School in Delaware. He was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and had previously served as a Trustee and member of the Organ Committee.

His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them, and his values will be carried by them.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Violet Fitzgerald Clark and his sister Eleanor C. Parramore.

Survivors: son Thomas R. Clark (Nancy), daughter Gail C. Dougherty (Paul); four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 9:30 AM
