Obituary

William W. Cassidy, 91 of Ridley Park, died March 8, 2011 at Taylor Hospital.

Raised in Eddystone, he lived in Ridley Park for the past 55 years.

He was a machinist foreman at Sun Ship Co. for 43 years, retiring in 1982.

Mr. Cassidy was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where he formerly served as a board member, and also the Over 50 Club at the church. A 1939 graduate of Eddystone High School, he was also a former member of the Eddystone Fire Co.

He was son of the late Andrew and Lillian Vernon Cassidy and brother of the late Florence Mooney and Andrew Cassidy.
Survivors; his wife of 62 years, Doris Hutchinson Cassidy, children Harry McElwee (Pat) and Judy Deaver (Bob), both of Milmont Park, grandchildren Kim Henkel, Jen Cammarota, Danielle Deaver-Uzwiak and Mark Deaver, also eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service Friday, March 11, 2011 10:30AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 9:30AM. Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
