William F. "Bud" Holefelder, 83, of Aston died peacefully on February 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late William A. and Sarah McCormick Holefelder and was a lifelong resident of Village Green.
Bud served in the US Army during the Korean War and was employed by the Teamsters Local # 312 until he retired. He then began working for Aston Township in the Public Works Department. Bud enjoyed working with his hands repairing lawnmowers, working on his beach house and restoring his antique trucks. He also enjoyed fishing at his beach home in Villas, NJ. He especially loved spending time with his family, friends and his beloved poodles. Bud was famous for his witty comments and observations also known as "Budisms".
Bud was predeceased by his son, William D. Holefelder, who died May, 2005, and his siblings, George W. Holefelder, Sr., Helen Zehner, Albert F. Holefelder, Alice Dougherty and Ann Guzenski.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kirklyn A. Grace Holefelder, son Steven Holefelder (Christine), daughter Gail L. Schaffer (Dave), and grandsons William and Samuel Holefelder.
A celebration of his life will be held on March 18th, 2017 at the Aston American Legion Post 926 from 4pm to 7pm. For further details, contact family members directly.
