William J. Boggs, 82, of Brookhaven died May 9, 2013 at Crozer-Keystone Hospice at Taylor Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late William and Florence Nelson Boggs, Bill lived in Sharon Hill prior to moving to his late residence 52 years ago.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served during the Korean War on the USS Shenandoah AD-26 and was a member of Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church. Bill was employed as a PBX repairman for AT&T Lucien, formerly Bell Telephone, retiring in 1986. He loved traveling, fishing, boating and enjoyed the Eagles and Phillies. A "Mr. Fixit" he loved to fix and repair things, but most important was his love and devotion to his family.
He was brother of the late Florence Deitcher.
Survivors: his wife of 58 years, Margie Burke Boggs, father of William F. Boggs (Marydenise), Nancy A. Conlan (John), Dennis B. Boggs (Darla) and Margaret M. Kaas (Steve), grandfather of Jonathan, Christopher, Patrick, Joseph, Dylan and Aiden.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Wednesday at Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven
Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Tuesday and 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
