William M. "Billy" Barnett, Jr., 60, of Ridley Park, died on June 29, 2015 at his home. Born in Chester, son of the late William M. Barnett, Sr. and Loretta M. Sharkey Barnett, he lived in Eddystone for 24 years before moving to his late residence 36 years ago.
Billy was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1973, where he played baseball. He was employed as a warehouse operator for the Commonwealth of PA Liquor Control Board for 31 years before retiring in 2011. He had previously worked for Express Truck Lines.
Billy was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, he coached Leedom Little League baseball and softball and was an avid softball player. He enjoyed golfing and loved the beach, especially Cape May. Billy was a Philadelphia sports fan and the world's best santa. He was a loving husband, dedicated father, cherished grandfather, wonderful brother, adored uncle and a friend to all. Billy was a family man for sure and the self-proclaimed best first baseman in Delaware County.
Billy was predeceased by his brother, Robert A. Barnett; sister, Loretta Barnett and granddaughter, Reese Goslee
Billy was the husband of Joanne L. Hallissey Barnett, his wife of 41 years; father of Kerry L. Orr (Edward), Kelly Ann Goslee (Matthew), William M. Barnett, III (Julia) and Jaclyn Barnett; brother of Kristine Albaugh (George), Jaclyn Battinieri (Guy), Helen Fotiades (John), Tracy Connolly and Thomas J. Barnett (Dawn); and also survived by seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2015 and 8:15-9:15 AM Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA
