Wesley S. Mullen 97 of Chestnut Ridge, died on August 29, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Ridley Park before moving to his late residence in 2016.
Wesley was a meat inspector for the U.S. Government, retiring in 1978.
He also worked at Max Wolf Deli in Darby, GE Switch Gear and Media Real Estate.
Wesley was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, a Life Member of the Society of the First Infantry Division as a Blue Spader, the Delaware Valley Chapter Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, the Herbert W. Best VFW Post and former President of the Ridley Park Seniors. He was an avid pinochle player, enjoyed golfing and was known as "Mr. Fixit."
He was the loving husband of the late Marie Smith Mullen, his wife of 67 years, who died in 2012; father of the late Wesley Robert Mullen, who died in 2021; son of the late Horace G. and Amelia Rementer Mullen; brother of the late Bud Mullen, Doris Wykle and Dolly Wallace.
Wesley is survived by his daughter, Carolyn M. Schnepp (Deacon Larry); his daughter in law Connie Mullen, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and his companion Dolores Mulhern.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where relatives and friends may call 8:45 until 9:45AM. Private burial at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.
