Wendy Bettcher (nee Stutzman), 77 of Wilmington, DE formerly of Ridley Township, PA died on July 23, 2025.  Born and raised in Collingdale, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Gladys Shadle Stutzman.

Wendy was a graduate of Collingdale High School, class of 1965 and also attended Goldy Beacom Business School.  Wendy worked at DuPont in the Teflon Department for ten years, and after her daughter was born she worked part time for Manpower Temporary Staffing.  She received the Manpower Tiffany Award for outstanding performance as a secretary, and in 1983 was named Secretary of the Year for her superior skills and responsibility as a professional secretary.  Her excellence at Manpower led to a job at Scott Paper where for worked for several years.  Before her retirement in 2010, Wendy served as the secretary for the Ridley Park Presbyterian church for 25 years.

Wendy loved reading, gardening, knitting and caring for her daughter.  She was the a happiest when her toes were in the sand and she could just sit and watch the waves.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 26 years Brian Jay Bettcher who died on June 23, 2007.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Lynn Diane Bettcher, her sister Ann Stutzman Philiposian (Mihran), her brother-in-law Hal "Bud" Bettcher (Sharon), she was the aunt of Joe Philiposian (Tessa), Chris Philiposian (Samantha), Tim Philiposian (Catherine), Michael Bettcher and Rachel Bettcher and was the great-aunt of Emma, Abby, Tyler and Elias Philiposian.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1120 Darley Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial will follow in the adjoining church memorial garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation, 701 Sweetleaf Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808 would be appreciated.
