Wendell L. "Fred" Harlon, 69
Loving Husband, Father and Pop Pop
Wendell L. "Fred" Harlon, 69, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lewistown, Mr. Harlon lived in Woodlyn prior to moving to Aston 25 years ago. He was employed as a Trainer at General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1992 and after retirement was employed as a custodian at White Horse Village.
Fred spent many wonderful years taking care of his grandchildren and dogs. He also enjoyed doing odd jobs for anyone, he was always willing to lend a hand. Fred had a great sense of humor and always had a story to tell. Fred spent the last three years fighting a courageous battle with esophageal cancer and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
He was son of the late Richard and Madeline Zimmerman Harlon and brother of the late Richard E. "Manny" Harlon.
Survivors: his wife of 12 years, Judy A. Jamison Harlon, his son Richard Harlon (Diane), his twin sister Wanda Bartlett and other siblings Judy Copple (Richard), Bonnie Fitzgerald (Don) and Douglas Harlon (Jeanne), loving Pop Pop to his two girls Marlena VanAmburgh and Jordan Harlon, also survived by his former wife Joan Davis Harlon.
Funeral Service: 2 PM Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston
Visitation: after 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home
Burial: Private
