Wayne R. Hesse, 76, of Aston, passed away at his home on June 29, 2025. Born in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Richard F. and Irene Ward Hesse. Wayne was raised in Morton, later living in Ridley Park before settling in Aston in 1992.

A 1967 graduate of Ridley High School, Wayne went on to earn an associate degree in Business Management from Goldey-Beacom College. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Jet Aircraft Mechanic Sergeant. Prior to retiring, he worked as an electrician at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Wayne was a devoted member of The Church of St. Joseph and a Fourth-Degree Knight of Columbus. He was also an active member of several fire companies throughout his life, including Morton, Ridley Park, and Aston-Beechwood.

Wayne found joy in fishing, gardening, and trips to the Kutztown Fair and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Daisy and Mikey.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maria Luzak Hesse; his children, Richard W. Hesse (Dawn) and Laura A. Hesse; his grandchildren, Layla and Lucus Hesse; and was the brother of the late Judith Hesse.

Services and burial will be held privately.
