Warren R. Pierce, Jr., of Wilmington passed away on October 31, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, class of 1952.

Mr. Pierce was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was the Executive Vice President of the National Bank of Gloucester County, New Jersey. A devoted husband and father, Warren moved to Delaware after his retirement and spent 24 happy years with his family, especially his beloved grandson Matthew.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, N. Joan Pierce, son Robert W. Pierce and his wife Julie, of Hockessin, grandson Matthew R. Pierce, sister Patricia Laessig (John), sister-in-law Virginia Imre (Tom), brother-in-law Robert Stubbs (Sandy), also survived by six nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Foulk Manor North and Dr. Erdman for the kind and compassionate care given to Warren.
