Walter H. Jones, Sr., 101 of Clearwater, FL died June 15, 2011 at Bayview Gardens Assisted Living.

Born in Landenberg, PA he was a longtime resident of Aston until moving to Clearwater in June 1997
He was a self employed accountant, opening his business in 1958 and retiring in 1997.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1928 and also the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance, class of 1932. He was a member of Penn Lodge, #709 F.& A.M. and the Aston Lions Club. Mr. Jones enjoyed walking, exercising, numbers and his dog Hershey, but most important to him was his family.

He was husband of the late Jeanette W. Fleming Jones, his wife of fifty two years, who died in 1989 ,son of the late Herbert H. and Sadie M. Woods Jones. and brother of the late Elmer Marshall and Paul E. Jones

Survivors; his children Walter H. Jones, Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL, David H. Jones of Millsboro, DE and Shirley A. Curley of Clearwater, FL. Also seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston were friends may call after 10:00AM. Burial Edgewood Memorial Park.
