Walter John Allen, 57 a lifelong resident of Eddystone died on January 8, 2026.

John was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1987 and received an associate's degree in accounting from Delaware County Community College.  He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Peleliu.  For the past 16 years, John was employed as a Public Safety Officer at Villanova University and had previously worked at Boscov's.  John was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and the American Legion.  He loved attending the Renaissance Fair, country line dancing and collecting Matchbox cars, but most important was his family, especially his cherished daughter.

He was the loving husband of Karen A. Ritz Allen, devoted father of Samantha Allen, son of Sandra "Sandy" M. Lines Allen and the late Walter "Jack" J. Allen, Jr. and brother of William "Chip" Allen (Cyndi)

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at St. Thomas of Villanova R.C. Church, 800 Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA 19085 where relatives and friends may attending his visitation from 9:15 to 10:15 AM.  Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
