Vincent Francis Petkowsky, 84 of Brookhaven, died February 6, 2011 at Springfield Hospital.
Born in Gilberton, PA he was a resident of Ridley Township for 50 years before moving to Brookhaven three years ago.
He was an Avoinics Engineer for Boeing Vertol Company in Ridley Township for 40 years, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Petkowsky received his MEE from Johns Hopkins University.
A very proud WWII Veteran, he served in the US Army Air Corps 9th fighter group in Austria, France and Germany for three years. He also served as Private/First Class Military Police as Sergeant of the Guard.
A member of The Church of St. Madeline, he was an avid Penn State Football fan, enjoyed trips to the casino, watching The Lawrence Welk Show and spending time with his family.
He was husband of the late Phyllis F. Tedesco Petkowsky for 50 years, who died in 2005, father of the late Vincent F. Petkowsky, Jr. who died in 1956, son of the late Casper and Martha Lenowskas Petkowsky and brother of the late Anthony Petkowsky, Christine Milano, Connie Bulcavage and Pauline Petkowsky.
Survivors: children Martha Snyder of Crescent City, CA, Marie Canale (Quentin) of New Providence, PA and Michelle Angeline (Michael) of Brookhaven, PA, sister Annette Howard of Boca Raton, FL, grandchildren Tom Snyder, Rachel, Tara, Celeste, Justin and Jocelyn Canale, great-granddaughter Jasmine Uleary, also nieces, nephews and his beloved Shih-Tzu Nikki (LS)
