Vincent J. Medico, 85 of Ridley Park, went to be with the Lord on January 22, 2012 at his home.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was son of the late John and Margaret Medico and has lived at his late residence since 1954.
Vincent formerly owned and operated several service stations.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and while serving under General George Patton he liberated prison camps in Dachau, Germany. He received the Army of Occupation Medal; the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Vincent enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, the out of doors, but especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline.
Survivors: his sisters; Ann E. Anderson (Late George F.) and Julia J. Lynam (James) and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.
Visitation: after 9:30AM at the Church. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
