Veronica Hedwig Evans (nee Kogut), 88 formerly of Clifton Heights died on December 8, 2025.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Liwocz Kogut.

Veronica grew up in St. Hedwig's Parish and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School for Girls.  She married her late husband Wayne Evans at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in 1990.  Veronica enjoyed sewing, speaking Polish, eating Polish food, and going camping with her husband and dog.

She was predeceased by her husband Wayne Evans and her siblings; Helen America, Joseph Kogut, Josephine Dybelko, Peter Kogut, Anita Sizemore, Jennie Barnard and Florence Williams.

Veronica is survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral Mass 10 AM Monday, December 15, 2025 at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 316 East Broadway Avenue, Clifton Heights, PA 19018 where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial will follow in Chester Rural Cemetery.

Veronica's namesake, Saint Hedwig, is the patron saint of the poor, sick, and needy, especially widowed women. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to a local charity.
