Our beloved Todd Christopher Vannucci passed away on January 5, 2023.
Todd will be remembered as an extraordinary and devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. Todd was larger than life, the most big-hearted, funny, and fun-loving person you would ever meet.
Todd was born in Towson, Maryland on January 20, 1967. He grew up in Media, Pennsylvania with his older brother, Joseph, his parents Dorothy Clough and Joseph William Vannucci.
From a young age, Todd had a passion for cooking. He loved learning to cook from his father. Todd was constantly thinking of ways to improve dishes and make them his own. Todd became a professional chef and worked in many distinguished kitchens in the Philadelphia area. Todd loved every minute working in the kitchen. Even after a long day of work, he still enjoyed coming home to cook meals for his family. Todd was not a modest chef. He would always tell you that whatever he made was simply the best and nobody could make it any better! If you ask his family, that was always true.
Todd loved to read and was a voracious reader. Todd was also an avid skier. Since his first time on skis at age 2, he loved being on the mountain and was absolutely fearless.
Todd leaves behind his son, Joseph Anthony Vannucci, his brother, Joseph Vannucci, his sisters, Kathleen ("Katie") and Maureen ("Molly) Vannucci, sister-in-law, Mary Vannucci, his former partner, Marguerite Smith, his nephews, Michael and Colin Vannucci, aunt Camilla Zayac, aunt Nellie Harrison, cousins, Theodore Zayac ("Teddy"), Diane Zayac Pachucy, Mary Rose Zayac Hurst, Theresa Zayac, Daniel Zayac ("Danny"), Michael Zayac, Kathleen LaRussa, Ann Zayac Tomaszewski, Joseph Zayac, Julie Zayac Pritchyk, Kathy Porreca, Bradley Harrison, and James Harrison. In addition, he leaves behind many other family and friends too numerous to list. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Francesca Maria Vannucci, his mother, Dorothy Clough, his father, Joseph William Vannucci, and his stepmother, Marilynn Raymond Vannucci.
There will be a Funeral Mass held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA. Visitation will start at 11AM and the Mass will begin at noon. There will be an interment held in a private family ceremony at St. Mary Church in Bethel, CT at a later date.
In remembrance of Todd, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Social Service in Philadelphia that help people facing addiction. https://cssphiladelphia.org/services/recovery-and-hope/
