Timothy S. Nilan

Timothy S. Nilan, 33, of Folcroft, died unexpectedly on September 7, 2026, at Temple University Hospital.

Tim was a graduate of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Monsignor Bonner High School, Class of 2011, where he was a member of the rugby team. He was a Concrete Construction Finisher and was a member of St. George’s R.C. Church.

Tim enjoyed traveling and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed lifting weights, cooking, and staying active. He also had a special place in his heart for his dog, Jax, who was a special part of his life and brought him endless companionship and joy.

Tim enjoyed spending time at the baseball field with his beloved son, Benjamin. He cherished every minute he spent with his son and treasured the memories they made together. Whether they were at the baseball field, sharing time together, or simply enjoying the everyday moments of life, being a father to Benjamin was one of the greatest joys of Tim’s life.

Tim will be remembered as a fun-loving, kind-hearted guy with a warm smile who always knew how to have a good time and bring laughter to those around him. He loved being surrounded by family and friends and had a way of making every moment more enjoyable. Above all, Tim was someone who loved deeply, lived life with a genuine spirit, and treasured the people closest to him.

He is survived by his parents, Timothy F. and Maureen J. Nilan(Scargill); his cherished son, Benjamin Nilan; his sister, Hayley Rhodes (David); his nephews, Sonny and Dominic Rhodes; his niece Taylor Rhodes; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at St. George R.C. Church, 22 E. Cooke Ave., Glenolden, where a visitation will take place from 9 to 10:45 AM. Burial will follow Mass at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
