Thomas O. Ricker, 79, of Ridley Park died December 4, 2011 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Ricker lived in South Philadelphia prior to moving to his late residence 54 years ago.

He was a graduate of the Boc Vocational High School Class of 1950 and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ricker was employed by Local #19 Sheet Metal Worker's of American for 43 year, retiring in 1993. He also enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors.

He was son of the late John and Elizabeth Louise Shoemaker Ricker and father of the late Claire M. Ricker who died August 16, 2010.

Survivors: his wife of 54 years, Claire Campbell Ricker, father of Kathleen Rydenbark (Joseph), Anne D'Ginto (Donald) and Thomas O. Ricker, Jr., brother of Charles, Marion, Elizabeth and Jean, also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park

Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Thursday and after 9:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery
