Thomas P. Nicolaides

Thomas P. Nicolaides, 90 of West Chester died peacefully, surrounded by loving family members on August 17, 2026. Born in Chester, the son of the late Paul George and Theresa Kefalas Nicolaides, he had lived in Oxford before moving to West Chester three years ago.

Thomas was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1954 and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Nicolaides Delicatessen at 10th and Concord Avenue in Chester and went on to work as a Marketing Manager for Abbott Dairies and Breuningers. Thomas finished his career working at the Giant Food Market in Brookhaven.

Thomas was proud of his Greek heritage and was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, and enjoyed playing poker and boating on the Chesapeake, but most important was his loving family and many friends.

He was the husband of the late Anita O. Xanthos Nicolaides, father of Michael P. Nicolaides (Laura), Steven T. Nicolaides (Roberta), Christine A. Nicolaides Hesling (late Edward) and Paula M. Nicolaides Poplos (David), brother of the late George Nicolaides, Frieda Maneos and Helen Cappos, his is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation 6-8 PM Monday, August 24, 2026 and 9-10 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd., Media, PA 19063 where his Funeral Service will begin at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Oxford Cemetery.
