Theresa Ann Wright, 87, formerly of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023.
She was born in Ridley Park, PA, the daughter of the late Helen and Joseph Quinn. She was the youngest of three siblings.
Theresa graduated from Ridley Park High School and Sleepers School of Business. She worked as a payroll administrative coordinator at the Scott Paper Company in Chester, PA. She married Raymond A. Wright in 1958. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother of three children and five grandchildren. Theresa was a caring mother who instilled the importance of hard work and education. She fostered compassion and genuine kindness. She loved caring for her Boston Terriers and walking at the nearby track. In the 1970's, she served as a head coach for girls' basketball and she was actively involved with girls' softball for the Aston Athletics Association. For decades, she was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Aston. She had a passion for hosting family picnics. Family vacations were a priority: camping near the New Jersey shore and visiting extended family in Florida were her favorites. Later in life, along with her husband, she created many fond memories on their Caribbean cruises. She supported her children and grandchildren by attending their sporting events; she was their number one fan.
She is survived by her son Raymond (Nora) Wright and their children: Kathryn and Raymond of Glen Mills, PA, her daughters Joanne (Rich) Walker of Newark, DE, and Catherine (Steve) Colavito and their sons: Joseph, John, and Michael of Garnet Valley, PA, and numerous nieces/nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Raymond A. Wright, her sister, Helen (Don) Wolfe, and her brother Joseph (Marilyn) Quinn.
Special thanks to all the loving and caring folks at Home Helpers Home Care and Truewood by Merrill, Glen Riddle, both in Media, PA. Also thanks to Ascend Hospice.
A private funeral service for her immediate family will be held followed by burial at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA with her husband.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to a charity of your choice, in Theresa's name, is appreciated.
