Theresa M. Handley, 75 of Ridley Park died on October 29, 2025. Born in Bryn Mawr, the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Williams O'Connor, she lived in Rosemont, PA before moving to Ridley Park 51 years ago.
Theresa was a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School, class of 1968 and also studied history and Spanish at Neumann University. Before her retirement in 2013, she had been employed as a Human Resources Benefits Manager at Swarthmore College for 23 years. Theresa was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and also served as a 3rd Ward Minority Inspector in Ridley Park. She was a lifelong fan of Sir Paul McCartney and The Beatles. Theresa enjoyed watching old TV programs and traveling, especially to Avalon, NJ, but most important was her devotion to her loving family.
She was the loving wife of 52 years to Alan Handley, mother of Kathleen P. Handley, Benjamin T. Handley and Rebecca M. Whittington (Aaron), grandmother of Adam S. Rahman and sister of Susanne Stehly and the late Peter F. O'Connor, Jr.
A Celebration of Theresa's life will take place at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM. Burial private.
