Theodore B. "Ted" Brodzinski, Sr. 88 a "True Gentleman's Gentleman" of Brookhaven, died on June 23, 2013 at Springfield Hospital.

Born in Johnsonburg, PA, he lived in Claymont before moving to his late residence 57 years ago.

He retired from Sun Company where he was a pipefitter/ supervisor for 30 years.

Ted was a member of Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church where he served as lector, Eucharist Minister and was a daily communicant.

He was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1943. Ted was a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII, receiving the WWII Victory Medal, the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater with 3 bronze stars and one silver star, the Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star, the Good Conduct Medal and the Air Medal with 2 bronze clusters.

He was a member of the Serra Club, the Green Ridge American Legion Post #926 and VFW Post #9465, serving as Quartermaster. Ted and Joan enjoyed traveling with the Sun Oil Travel Club and was a member of the Sun Honor Club and enjoyed golfing at Penn Oaks.

Ted was father of the late Stanley D. Brodzinski, Sr. who died on July 22, 2009; son of the late Stanley and Sophia Wozna Brodzinski and brother of the late Helen Knight, John Brodzinski, Emma Rumford, Carolyn Kokoszka and Alfreda Venish Marvel.

Survivors; His wife of 67 years Joan Pratt Brodzinski; his children Theodore B. Brodzinski, Jr. (Glenette), Michael W. Brodzinski (Sandy) and Paula J. Cobourn; his brother Walter Brodzinski (Norma); daughter in law Andrea Hoot Brodzinski; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; seven step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass 10:30AM Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015 where friends may call from 9 to 10:15AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
