Steven Curry, 66 of Morton died on February 16, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Ann Duffy Curry.
Steve was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1977 and had been employed as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for the last 36 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church. He was also a member of the NALC and the Black Jack Kehoe AOH Division Four where he also served on the Board.
Steve was larger than life with a smile and infectious laugh that warmed all of those around him. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially to his Eagles that just gave him the joy of winning another Championship.
Steve was happiest at the beach. He never missed a sunrise or a sunset while vacationing in Wildwood, NJ. He was an amazing cook and enjoyed nothing more than cooking for his family and friends. As much as Steve loved to cook, he enjoyed going out for lunch and drinks just the same. In his own words, he was a true foodie. Steve was a regular at several local establishments, many who knew him as "Mailman Steve."
There was nothing that provided Steve more joy than his grandkids. He was so immensely proud of all three of them. Steve was the fun Pop-Pop. Whether it was watching their sporting events, dance recitals, trips to Hershey Park, the shore, he was always so present. Steve never missed an opportunity to take them on the rides, and all could hear his signature laugh.
While Steve lived his earthly life to the fullest, we know his heart was in heaven with his son Steven. We find comfort in knowing they are rejoined again for eternity.
He was the devoted father of Andrea Palo (Matt) and the late Steven F. Curry, grandfather of Aiden, Jocelyn and Vienna Palo, brother of Mary Ann McGill (late Jim), Patricia Kelly, Andrew Curry, Robert Curry (Late Terry) and Lynda Szybowski (late Dick), he is also survived by his longtime partner Patty Hearty.
