Obituary

Stephen Matyszczak 90 of Ridley Township and Sea Isle City, NJ, died on June 30, 2017 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Eddystone before moving to his late residence 10 years ago.

Stephen was a machine operator for Foamex for 23 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Holy Myrrh-Bearers Ukrainian Catholic Church. Stephen was a decorated WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of VFW Post 7949 and American Legion Post 844, where he was Past Commander.

Stephen enjoyed his home in Sea Isle City, but most important was spending time with his family.

He was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Shimchak Matyszczak and brother of the late Sr. Damien, O.S.B.M., William Matyszczak and Joseph Matyszczak.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Stella Zakorchemmy Matyszczak; his children, Stephen M. Matyszczak (Janet) and Patricia M. Rodden (Ray); grandchildren, Jeannette, Lauren (Jason), Raymond, Jenna, Carol, Nick; also great-grandson Gary.

Funeral Service 11:00AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Holy Myrrh-Bearers Eastern Catholic Ukrainian Church, 900 Fairview Road, Swarthmore, PA.

Visitation 9:15 to 10:15AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA. Burial Eastlawn Cemetery
