Stephen P. Ciekawy, 92, of Crum Lynne, died December 20, 2012 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born in Chester, Stephen was son of the late Apolinary and Mary Glodek Ciekawy.
Mr. Ciekawy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was last employed as a welder for The Westinghouse Corporation and previously work at Sun Shipbuilding and Drydock. Stephen was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was a Life Member of the American Legion Post 777 in Crum Lynne and the Vauclain Fire Company. He was an avid gardener and loved football, baseball and Dunkin Donuts, but most important was being with this family and friends.
He was brother of the late Frances Skut and Helen Ciekawy.
Survivors: father of Frances June (Tony), brother of Charles and Stanley Ciekawy, Pop Pop of Anthony N. June (Norene) and Pop Pop Pop of Vincent A. June.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Thursday at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone
Visitation: 9 to 9:45 AM Thursday at the church
Burial: Immaculate Heart Cemetery
