Obituary

Stephen R. Bernard, 52 of Aston, died August 9, 2012 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he fought a brave and courageous battle during his illness.

Born in Philadelphia, he was reared in Chester and has lived at his late residence for the past 14 years.

Stephen was employed for 14 years in the Maintenance Department at the Garnet Valley School District.

He was a graduate of St. James High School and was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, the Southern Chester County Sportsman and Farmers Association, also a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the Field and Stream Club. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.

Most important to Steve was that he cherished his family, friends, his faith and he has left a lasting impression with anyone that he had come in contact with.

He was father of the late Dylan J. Bernard, who died July 29, 2001 and son of the late Stephen and Rose Ann Rinaldi Bernard.

He was the devoted loving husband of Elaine M. Parker Bernard, his wife of 14 years; loving and devoted father of Brandon R. Bernard; also survived by his special mother in law Mary Larkin and her husband William; also aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members.

Memorial Service 7:00PM Wednesday August 22,2012 at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Pennell Rd. and Lamp Post Lane, Aston. Burial Private. Memorial gifts may be made to S.O.B.B.S., 1654 Village Center Drive, Suite 307, Lakeland, FL 33803. White-Luttrell Funeral Home, Aston.
