Obituary

Stanley Siwarski, 89, of Woodlyn, was called to Heaven on September 15, 2015 at his home. Born in St. Benedict, PA, he was son of the late Albert and Anna Giermec Siwarski. He moved to Delaware County as a child and remained a resident until his passing.

Stanley served in the Seabee 34th Special Battalion of the US Navy during WWII and was later a member of the American Legion Green Ridge Post 926. He was employed as a bartender for the Ski Bar and he previously worked at Sackville Woolen Mills.

Stanley was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church. He had a great love for the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and he was a founding member of Village Green Rod and Gun Club. Most important was his devotion to his family, especially his loving wife of 64 years, Helen Chorney Siwarski, who passed in January.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Wanda Siwarski, who died August 29, 1999 and his siblings, Bernard Siwarski, John Siwarski, Frank Siwarski, Rose Krause, Mary Wolenski and Joseph J. Siwarski.

Stanley is survived by his children, Thomas Siwarski (Kim), Anna Siwarski and Steven Siwarski; three grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
