Stanley Pitner, 86, of Frederica, Delaware, formerly of Chester died on May 29, 2016 at his home. Born in Chester, he has lived at his late residence since 1991.
He was last employed by Johnson-Matthey in Wayne as a machine operator for 10 years, retiring in 1995, previously working at Reynolds Metals in Chester for 13 years and was a self-employed barber.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Monrovia during the Korean War.
Stanley was a member of Camden V.F.W. #3238, the Walter J. Fox American Legion #2 and the Seniors Travel Bowling League, all in Delaware and the West End Boat Club.
Stanley was husband of the late Evelyn Evans Pitner who died in 1982 and the late Suzanne McAllister Pitner; brother of the late Michael, Peter, and John Pitner and Mary Skulski.
He is survived by his children, Stanley Pitner (Gizella), Phillip Pitner (Maryann), Mark J. Pitner (Victoria), Steven S. Pitner ( Wendy) and Brenda Lee Pitner; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
