Sophie E. "Sis" McKeown, 87 of Glen Mills died on April 17, 2025.  Born in Aston, she was the loving daughter of the late Daniel and Marie Larson McKeown, and lived in Aston for many years before moving to Glen Mills in 1997.
Sis was a graduate of Media High School, class of 1955 and was employed as a Clerical Manager at the Scott Paper Company in Philadelphia for 38 years before retiring in 1994.  She was a member of The Church of St. Joseph where she was a Daily Communicant and Eucharistic Minister.  Sis had volunteered at the Assisi House in Aston since 1994 and also delivered meals for Aides for Friends.  She loved walking, reading, animals and spending time at the beach in Cape May.
She was the sister of the late Marie Mullin, Daniel A., Gustaf D. and Francis J. McKeown and is survived by her sisters-in-law Anne McKeown and Nancy McKeown as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014 at 11 AM where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM.
