Sophia Zieziulewicz Martinson, 85, of Wallingford died March 9, 2016 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Norwich, CT, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Marion Kendsior Zieziulewicz and resided in Rose Valley for 20 years before moving to her late residence 24 years ago.

Sophia graduated from Willimantic State in 1948 with a BS in Elementary Education and was employed as an Elementary Teacher before raising her family. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was passionate about volunteering at the church thrift shop. Sophia loved the beach, but most important was her family and her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Zieziulewicz and step-mother Anne Zieziulewicz.

Survivors: wife of Albert M. Martinson, her husband of 64 years; mother of Christopher N. Martinson (Nancy) and Jennifer L. Nelson; sister of Mary Anne O'Keefe, step-sister Carol Robinson, step-brother Robert Larson and sister-in law Delia Zieziulewicz and also survived by seven grandchildren, several nephews, cousins and nieces.
