Shirley A. Sancken (nee Blythe), 76 of Marcus Hook was promoted to glory on January 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret C. Keenan Blythe.
Shirley was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1965 and attended at Iron Faith Fellowship Church, and a former member of Marcus Hook Baptist Church.  She enjoyed thrift shopping, camping, and visiting Lancaster, Cape May and Wildwood.  Shirley was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies Fan and Donald Trump supporter, she also loved painting, mostly with oil paints.  The most important parts of Shirley's life were her faith in Jesus Christ and her loving family.
She was the wife of Henry J. Sancken, Jr. who she married on June 4, 1966 at the Salvation Army in Chester where they met, mother of Henry J. Sancken, III (April) and Kevin M. Sancken (Jennifer "Jen"), sister of Cynthia "Cindy" Pippin (Gordon) and the late George D. Blythe, grandmother of Sierra Herr (Dallas), Kevin "KJ" Sancken, Jr. (Bree'Ana) and Sienna Sancken (Tyson Rhodes), great-grandmother of Eileen Yost, Thea Sancken, Sadie Herr and a great-grandson Blaze Rhodes who is due in March, her sisters-in-law Penny Fisher and Sarah Foreacre who have been a great help during Shirley's Illness and is also survived by Grace Navin, Julie Sancken and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2024 at The Iron Faith Fellowship Church, 801 Darley Road, Wilmington, DE  19810, where relatives and friends may call from 8:30 to 10 AM.  Burial Lawn Croft Cemetery.
