Obituary

Shirley L. Frindt Reiss, 86, of Selbyville, DE, a former long time resident of Chichester and Aston, PA, passed away on July 5 at the Brandywine Assisted Living facility after a period of declining health.

Born in West Hazleton, Mrs. Reiss was the daughter of the late Albert W. Frindt and Rose A. James. She moved to Chester when she was 14 years old with her family and was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1946. She was an employee of The Franklin Mint, retiring in May of 1985.



A member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Mrs. Reiss loved to country line dance and was a avid bowler, belonging to many leagues over the years. But she most of all loved to spend time with her family and friends.



She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John H. Reiss, Jr, who passed away in 1991, a brother, Frederick Frindt, and a sister, Elizabeth Miller.



Survivors: daughters, Judith A. Mizzau (Bruce) of Dover, NH, and Rose M. Barr (Chuck) of Dagsboro, DE; grandchildren, Crystal A. Hardy (Chris), Kim Messinger (fiancé Mike Duffy), Jeremy M. Mizzau, and Karen Vance (David); great grandchildren, Jameson and Ethan Hardy, Morgan and Michael Duffy and David and Nathaniel Vance, also several nieces and nephews.



Funeral Service: 10 AM Thursday at. St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 535 Lamp Post Ln. Aston, PA 19014



Visitation: 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston and 9 to 9:45 AM Thursday at the church.

Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
