Shirley A. Finnegan 79 of Prospect Park, died July 14, 2014 at Prospect Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Scranton, Shirley lived in S.W. Philadelphia before moving to Delaware County 20 years ago.
She was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and a formerly a very active member of St. Barnabas R.C. Church. She was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and a private duty caregiver through St. Barnabas parish.
She was wife of the late Joseph A. Finnegan, who died in 1980, mother of the late Joseph A. Finnegan, Jr. and daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Connell Prosser.
Shirley was the mother of Sherry A. Hickey (Roy), Kathleen M. Finnegan, Thomas E. Finnegan (Nina) and Tammi Jean Fisher (Joseph); sister of Joan Schirg (Donald) and Ken Roberts (Emily). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 9:00AM. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
