Sherry L. Hipkins, 70 of Prospect Park, died on September 29, 2011 at Taylor Hospital after a six year courageous battle with cancer. Sherry is now with the Lord.

She was born in Orlando, FL and raised in Miami where she met her future husband Jim, who was stationed in Florida while serving in the Air Force. After their marriage they moved to the Delaware County area where Jim was born and raised.

She was a Prospect Park Librarian and a volunteer Children's Librarian for ten years.

Sherry found her calling in life by volunteering her time for six years at the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at the Prospect Hill Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all the souls she touched.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jim, and her children Janet Cooper and Randy Hipkins, and also six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service 5:30PM Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call after 4:00PM. Burial private.

In lieu of flowers, it was at her request that donations be made in her memory to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, c/o Prospect Hill Baptist Church, 703 Lincoln Ave., Prospect Park, PA 19076.
