Shane Michael McDowell, 48, of Thornbury Twp., died March 25, 2021.  Born in Upland, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth J. Dougherty McDowell and resided in Chester Heights before moving to his late residence three years ago.

Shane was a graduate of Garnet Valley High School, class of 1991 and was employed by Capers Landscaping.  He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, in Concordville, and he enjoyed boating and fishing.  Shane received the Goodyear Management Certificate, loved hot rods and was an overall car guru, but most important was his family and many friends.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Perryman McDowell, who died in August 2010.

Shane was the former husband of Amy Goldman McDowell; brother of Shawn P. McDowell (Denise Devakow); uncle of Jake McDowell; godfather of Seth Lackus; nephew of Bobbie Mills; and cousin of Danielle Mills Moen.

Due to COVID-19, services will be private.  A Memorial Car Show will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM on June 19, 2021 at Evolution Performance, 3358 Market Street, Aston, PA 19014 .
