Sarah Elizabeth Ozaluk 90, of Eddystone, passed away peacefully on March 27,2015.
Born September 17, 1924, to the late James and Helen Higgins of Woodlyn, PA. Sarah was a graduate of Ridley High School class of 1944 and worked for several years at Scott Paper Co., Chester where she met the love of her life Max Ozaluk of Eddystone.
Sarah and Max married in 1955 and made their home of fifty plus years in Eddystone where Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and active member of St. Rose of Lima parish. They shared thirty-nine wonderful years of marriage and treasured their life together, family barbecues in their backyard, holiday meals around the dining room table, summer vacations in Wildwood, NJ & Ocean City, MD, spending time with their children and grandchildren. Sarah had a true talent for crocheting and spent many hours creating special afghans for each family member. She filled her days chatting on the phone with her parents, sisters and children; preparing foods from the bushels of vegetables from Max's backyard garden including apple pies, apple sauce, tomato sauces and delicious salads.
Sarah is survived by her children; John (Pamela) Ozaluk of Breckenridge, CO, Michael (Suzanne) Ozaluk of Folsom, PA, Sarah (Stephen) Paolucci of Hainesport, NJ. Sarah's greatest source of pride were her grandchildren; Christopher (Danielle) Ozaluk, Max (Justyna Skowronska) Paolucci, Carolyn (Sergio Anello) Paolucci, Ashley (Matthew Uffelman) Ozaluk, Rebecca (Michael Miloradovich) Ozaluk, Max Ozaluk and Great-grandchildren; Nathaniel and Christina Ozaluk.
Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Max Ozaluk and her siblings; Marguerite (Harry) Leskie, Helen (Thomas) Boyd, James (Norma) Higgins, Agnes (Charles) Stowe. She will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, god children and all those whose lives she touched. Sarah's final years were spent bravely battling Alzheimer's Disease while continuing to demonstrate love and kindness to all who surrounded her.
Visitation 8:45 to 9:45 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2015, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Chester Pike and Simpson Street, Eddystone. Burial will be in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
