Sandra J. "Sandie" Newman Krauss, 76, of Folsom died August 11, 2016 at home. Born and raised in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Allen James and Dorothy Jones Newman and moved to her late residence in 1964.

Sandie was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1958 and the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1961. She was previously employed by Abraham Possoff, D.D.S., M.S. as a surgical assistant and a former member of the Holmes Presbyterian Church. Sandie was an avid gardener, a member of the Springfield Garden Club and chairperson of the garden club flower shows. She enjoyed arts, crafts, traveling and was a yard sale fanatic, but most important was time with her family.

Survivors: wife of Howard K. "Ken" Krauss, her husband of 55 years; mother of Stephanie K. Wolsky (James) and Steven K. Krauss (Jennifer); grandmother of Meredyth, Rachel and James Wolsky and Hayden and Hunter Krauss

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where friends may call after 9:00 AM
