Sandra "Sandy" DiPaola, 73, of Deptford, NJ died on April 15, 2026.
Sandy was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1970 and received a bachelor's degree from East Stroudsburg State College (now East Stroudsburg University of PA). She enjoyed a long career in graphic design and sign work and had worked for Hughes Printing, Fairchild Publications, CMP Printing and even had her own consignment shop for a short period called "The Turtle and The Butterfly." Prior to her retirement, she most recently worked for about 15 years at Bantle's Banners & Signs in Bryn Mawr, NJ.
Sandy was an accomplished athlete, she competed in archery competitions both at the collegiate level and internationally and won many bowling championships. She also played softball for over 20 years, she even hit a grand slam in her last game of her career during the Eastern Regional Championship. Aside from her graphic design work, Sandy enjoyed making craft items and t-shirts for her family and friends as well as collecting antique furniture. She also loved spending time in her yard and gardening.
She was the daughter of Elaine Pancoast DiPaola and the late Dominic A. DiPaola, sister of Darrell DiPaola, Sherie Hassler (Tim) and the late Glenn DiPaola and Joyce Pizzi. Sandy was predeceased by her longtime partner Maryann Rapa and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Paws for Purple Hearts at https://www.pawsforpurplehearts.org/ would be appreciated.
