Obituary

Salvatore A. "Sal" Loro, Sr., 75, of Ridley Park, died September 3, 2014 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Lee and Carrie Liberati Loro, he lived in Philadelphia prior to moving to his late residence 42 years ago.


Sal was employed at Ryerson Steel in Philadelphia for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America and The Church of St. Madeline in Ridley Park. Sal was devoted to his home and family.


Sal was predeceased by his twin brother Domenic Loro (Elaine).


Survivors: his wife of 51 years, Dolores H. Cooke Loro; father of Salvatore A. Loro, Jr. (Carolyn) and Joseph A. Loro (Donna); brother of Jenny Soprani (Joseph), Anthony Loro (Jean) and Carolyn Richards (Edward); grandfather of Amber, James, Edward, Nathan and Nicholas; also many nieces and nephews.




Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Tuesday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.




Visitation: 8:15 to 9:45 AM Tuesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park




Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery
