Salvatore M. Paciotti, 91, of Prospect Park died April 26, 2016 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Augusto and Carmela Rubillo Paciotti and resided in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to his late residence 38 years ago.
Salvatore served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Chinaberry. He was active with the Alumni of the USS Chinabury and was the last Decorated WWII Veteran survivor. Salvatore was employed by the Boeing Company as a spray painter for 25 years before retiring in 1987 and previously was self-employed as Salvatore Paciotti Plasters.
Salvatore enjoyed going to clubs, loved dancing, bowling, cooking and being with his many friends and his family. He loved a good time and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Salvatore was predeceased by his siblings, Marie Malatesta, Louise Aaron and John Paciotti.
Survivors: father of Virginia "Ginny" Clary (Owen) and Joseph M. Paciotti (Dottie); brother of Theresa Bobst; grandfather of Michael Paciotti, Michelle Britton and Joseph Paciotti; also survived by three great grandchildren
